Our calligrapher, Claire Gould, has written thousands of place cards, envelopes and invitations, and hundreds of poems in calligraphy for all kinds of wonderful clients.
We’ve been a part of many weddings, from themed days to simple affairs, weddings abroad and celebrity weddings.
We’re proud to have been commissioned to write famous names on invitations to weddings and corporate parties… being based in Cheshire, we’ve been lucky enough to write invitations for the Manchester United players to attend various events!
All of our calligraphy is written with traditional tools: dip pens and metal nibs. We use Mitchell round hand nibs for all of our calligraphy styles except for Copperplate and Freestyle. For these we use Gillot 303 nibs.
So we can provide any colour we're asked for your wedding calligraphy, we use gouache paints rather than traditional inks. We mix these fresh for every commission we write. Our supply includes everything from pretty pinks to white and 3 shades of black (no, we don't either) as well as gold, silver and copper.
